Rotary Evaporator EVI 67/3
With cold trap glassware.
Low boiling point solvents can be condensed. This allows low boiling distillations and
lyophilization.
The vapor, originated in the distillation (rotary) flask flows through the passing tube (shorter than the EVI 67/1 model one and reaches the cold trap which can be ice or liquid-air coaled. There the
vapor freezes or is collected as a liquid in the receiver flask. Two stopcocks are provided, one for continuous feeding of the evaporation flask (useless if the
vapor is frozen) and the other for venting or attaching to a vacuum line.

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS |
- n. 1 Motor type EVI 68: (steeples speed change gear). Single phase asynchronous electric motor, doesn't produce any spark, noiseless, simple and strong, totality enclosed, no maintenance needed. The transmitted power Is steady regardless the rotation speed, which Is consequently very stable. A knob allows to adjust the speed continuously from 35 to 250 r.p.m., a graduated scale visualizes the speed. Power requirements:
115 V 60 Hz, or 220 V 50 Hz, input 70 Watt, output 30 Watt
- n. 1 Support model 661.06: this very stable support
is made of cast iron
- n. 1 Special Clamp model 662.05: the EVI 90 model,
equipped with heating bath and electric lifting device does not
need this clamp
- n. 1 Kit glassware model 673 |

The rotation of the evaporation flask in the warming bath, while effects the continuous changing of the evaporation surface, helps the heat transfer between the bath and the flask content: thus it is possible to carry out vacuum distillations at low temperatures and with slight drop in temperature. This Is a safe and quick method which avoids the problems due to ever boiling and foaming.
